In 2008 Nene Valley had their most successful rally ever. We had:
• Highest attendance,
• 2 superb ride outs, one which saw us at the secret test track at Millbrook with 153 bikes and the other around the mighty Silverstone Grand Prix circuit with 163 bikes,
• Featured an unknown band that really brought the house down.
Could we top all of this in 2009? We were going to try but then world economics and realities crept in and all of a sudden those things you watched on the news knocked on the door. Members were losing jobs; businesses we’ve worked with were suddenly teetering on the brink.
It was time for a re-think, and quickly.
The question to be answered was “Why do we want a rally?” And for that we’re experts – we’d make a party in a wardrobe if we had to!
So for 2009, we’re going Back2Basics. A great social event, organised by one fun loving Chapter in one large flat field. In 2009 we’re going to:
